[Remote] Assurance Associate II (US Clients)

They are seeking an Assurance Associate II to assist with audits and work closely with firm leaders and client personnel to complete assurance engagements. Responsibilities Be responsible for working with multiple client engagements throughout the year Be responsible for communicating issues that arise during the audit engagement with the support of the engagement manager Contribute to development and execution of audit strategy from planning to reporting Develop and maintain client relationships, thus driving client satisfaction Research, understand and apply complex accounting concepts and auditing procedures Draft financials and report audit findings (both verbal and written) Demonstrates knowledge of U.S. accounting standards (GAAP), regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements Manages complex engagements involving multi-jurisdictional financial reporting and international business practices Advises clients on U.S.-specific regulatory changes, risk management, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance across diverse markets Coordinates with cross-functional teams to address the unique challenges of servicing U.S.-based clients, including higher volume, complexity, and risk exposure Skills BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 1+ years' experience in public accounting, working with clients in a variety of industries Experience auditing complex accounts like inventory, revenue, equity/stock options, etc U.S. accounting credentials may be required Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong desire to continuously learn Ability to analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations Ability to synthesize all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables Ability to understand client needs, identifies root causes of problems, and implements pragmatic solutions Benefits Flexible work arrangements Competitive benefits coverage for you and your dependents Interactive wellness platform and incentives An employee assistance program and mental health resources Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs) that provide safe spaces for colleagues to share, be heard, feel valued and deepen connections A minimum of 14 Firm Holidays including applicable provincial statutory holidays and 2 floating days Flex PTO Supplemental top-up program for eligible statutory leaves Winter break Summer hours Remote work options CPA exam resources and bonuses Firm support for professional memberships/certification A coach program Live classes, workshops, and seminars through BPM University Company Overview Hi there, we're BPM!
