[Remote] Business Development Representative

They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to generate new business opportunities and nurture leads for their Solar Specialist Sales Team. Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting: Leverage inbound marketing, outbound prospecting (LinkedIn, cold emailing, calls), social media, and networking to identify potential leads across Canada Cold Outreach: Initiate contact with potential leads via emails, calls, and social media messages to spark initial interest and start the conversation Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria such as energy consumption, budget, decision-making authority, and timeline to ensure they are a good fit for our services Booking Meetings: Once a lead is qualified, schedule a meeting with one of our Solar Specialists, who will continue the sales process and close the deal Industry-Based Segmentation: Categorize and focus on leads from specific industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, technology) to maximize impact and efficiency Nurturing Relationships: For leads that aren’t immediately ready to buy, you’ll nurture ongoing relationships, providing relevant updates and information until they are ready to engage in a sales conversation Skills Previous experience in business development, sales, or lead generation Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence potential clients via phone, email, and social media Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote setting Comfort with cold calling and outreach, with a proven ability to handle rejection professionally A passion for renewable energy and the solar industry Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator Benefits Opportunities for career advancement in the growing solar energy industry.
