Remote Estimator - Substation / T-LIne (Pittsburgh)

Construction Management Services The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative construction management services, specializing in Lean Construction for various sectors including energy, healthcare, commercial, education, and hospitality markets nationwide. Responsibilities • Create and review thorough scope / design documentation for potential projects, including scope documents, KMZ files (Google Earth), Transmission Asset Mapping Interface files, and FileNet (engineering drawing database). • Create and review substation and transmission line estimates at a project level. • Review supplemental support estimates such as Access Roads, Forestry, SCADA / IT Network, Testing and Commissioning, Real Estate, Project Management, Environmental and Revenue Metering. • Coordinate with scoping and estimating team members, accounting, engineering, sponsors, regional contacts, and personnel from the supplemental support estimate staff. • Interpret and review actuals in comparison to estimates. • Assist in the feedback loop from project execution to ensure accuracy is improving. • Attend regional meetings with sponsors, protection, maintenance, and other stakeholders to review the status of all open estimates. • Review, approve, or reject estimate requests in OPPM. • Build project schedule timelines for substation, transmission line, and support estimates with correct logic. Essential Skills • Proficiency in estimation and estimating software. • Must have high voltage experience • Experience with transmission line or substation projects. • Ability to create utility project estimates. • Knowledge of environmental and revenue metering preferred The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00 / hr.
