They are seeking a passionate Gameplay Systems Intern to contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of technical gameplay features and systems, collaborating closely with a team of programmers and designers. Responsibilities Work closely with design, animators, artists, and other developers to contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of technical gameplay features and systems like player mechanics, character abilities, AI systems, vehicle mechanics, game flow systems or world systems, and more Solve technical challenges and maintain gameplay features and systems that underpin our specific game’s features Write robust, understandable, and maintainable code and systems Diagnose and fix gameplay that could include memory, performance, networking, and scalability issues Skills Self-motivated and solutions-focused Great C++ & Blueprint skills and software programming experience Interest in game feel and game design principles Experience with designing and implementing systems on games made with Unreal Engine A keen analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills Company Overview Epic Games is an interactive entertainment company that develops games and offers its game engine technology to other developers.
