[Remote] Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) Architect — 12‑Month Contract

Empiric is seeking an experienced Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) Architect to lead the design and delivery of Salesforce solutions for an insurance organization. The architect will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into scalable Salesforce architecture while guiding a multi-disciplinary delivery team through implementation, configuration, and deployment. Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end architecture and design of Salesforce FSC solutions for insurance business lines (personal lines, commercial lines, life, annuity, or benefits) • Define and validate solution architecture: data model, multi-org or single-org strategy, record types, org structure, and adoption of FSC objects and components • Recommend and design integrations with core insurance systems (policy administration, claims, billing, underwriting), middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.), and external data providers • Architect inbound/outbound data flows, ETL strategies, master data management, and data migration approaches • Design secure sharing and access model, role/permission architecture, and compliance controls (PII/data residency) • Provide technical leadership on customization vs. configuration trade-offs, apex, Lightning components, Flows, and Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) where applicable • Create and maintain architecture artifacts: solution diagrams, integration flows, data models, technical design documents, and non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, reliability) • Establish CI/CD, deployment pipeline, environment management, and release governance with DevOps best practices • Conduct code/design reviews, provide hands-on guidance to developers, admins, and partners • Support stakeholder interviews, workshops, and present architecture to business and executive stakeholders • Assist in vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and third-party package assessments • Provide estimations, risk analysis, mitigation strategies, and contribute to project planning and backlog prioritization Skills • 8+ years of experience on Salesforce; 3+ years in an architect role delivering enterprise Salesforce implementations • Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud in insurance or adjacent financial services environments • Salesforce Architect certifications required: Salesforce Certified Application Architect and System Architect, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (preferred). FSC or Industries certifications strongly preferred • Strong integration experience with APIs, middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica), ETL tools, REST/SOAP, streaming (Platform Events), and real-time vs batch strategies • Proven experience designing data models, complex sharing/security models, large data migrations, and performance tuning on Salesforce • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling (CI/CD), automated testing, packaging, and environment management • Familiarity with insurance domain concepts: policies, claims, billing, underwriting, rating, product modeling, and regulatory/compliance concerns • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to present technical options to non-technical audiences • US work authorization required (if applicable) and availability for periodic alignment calls in [time zone] Company Overview • Empiric is a dynamic technology and transformation recruitment agency that specializes in data, digital, cloud and security services.
