[Remote] Utilities Permit Agent - Remote

They are seeking a Utilities Permit Agent to identify required permits and conduct research to ensure compliance with regulations. Responsibilities Identify all required permits for road crossings, foreign utility crossings, rail crossings, water crossings, and special/conditional use scenarios Conduct in-depth research using online databases, courthouse records, and recorded documents to determine permitting requirements Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform property research and maintain accurate mapping and data records Apply knowledge of real property concepts and instruments to ensure compliance with permit-related regulations and documentation standards Skills Minimum of one (1) year of Utility Permitting or a related field Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems Valid Driver's License Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines Can prioritize and balance multiple tasks Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills Is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Thrives in a fast-paced administrative setting Provides strong customer service experience Can adapt to new systems and software environments Utility and transmission line and/or Railroad Crossing permitting experience Right-of-Way and land use coordination Benefits Health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match and disability coverage Paid time off, sick time, and holidays Tuition reimbursement and professional training Recognition programs and growth opportunities Free Calm membership for you and up to five others Company Overview Since 1969, ORC has been a leading ROW service provider for public agencies, utilities, and energy clients, driving responsible infrastructure progress nationwide.
