Ruby on Rails Developer for Collaboration App
I’m looking for a full-stack Ruby on Rails developer to help build a purpose-driven collaboration app. The app helps groups communicate with clear intent — combining chat, shared content, updates, feedback, and curated highlights into something more meaningful than endless message streams. The goal is to support healthier collaboration, clarity, and shared purpose. This is a long-term project, built slowly and intentionally. It’s not a rushed MVP. I’m looking for someone who values clean architecture, Rails best practices, and building software that can grow thoughtfully over time. You’ll work on a modern Rails app: domain modelling, APIs, and UI using Tailwind CSS + DaisyUI, with Hotwire / Turbo where appropriate. The app is hosted on Heroku with PostgreSQL. Over time, the product will evolve into a native macOS and iOS experience using Rails-friendly approaches (wrappers or web-first native shells). Deep native experience isn’t required. We’ll collaborate closely using Notion (planning) and Discord (discussion). This is an hourly role with a steady weekly rhythm and potential for long-term work. If you enjoy building thoughtful software that makes a genuine positive difference, I’d love to hear from you. Apply tot his job
