About the Team The Finance & Strategy team at DoorDash is responsible for accelerating business growth by identifying new opportunities and implementing effective solutions. We work closely with teams across the company to improve profitability, scalability, and defensibility of our business model. As a Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy - Product Finance, you will be part of a growing team focused on managing some of the largest technology investments at DoorDash. About the Role As a key member of the Product Finance team, you will be responsible for analyzing technology costs that enable deliveries on our platform, including navigation, messaging, and fraud. You will own the forecasting process for these areas and identify opportunities for operational efficiency as we continue to grow the business. You will also partner with leaders across our Product organization to manage headcount and operating expenses for their cost centers, ensuring effective allocation of capital across our technology investments. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of detailed financial models to forecast operations technology spend, working closely with business partners to understand drivers of key operational metrics. Own cost center management, including headcount and operating expenses, for Product business partners, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation. Develop reports to track budget vs. actuals and provide visibility around areas that are over or under-performing, identifying opportunities for improvement. Automate operational aspects of the financial planning & analysis process, leveraging technology to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Evaluate opportunities to invest in technology and build financial models to support sourcing & procurement in negotiations, driving strategic decision-making. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: 4+ years of finance experience at a high-growth tech company or investment bank, with a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with the ability to build complex models and analyze large datasets. Experience working on projects that require cross-functional collaboration, with a strong ability to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in the technology or logistics industry, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these sectors. Knowledge of financial planning and analysis tools, such as Adaptive Planning or Anaplan. Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
