Job Title: Senior Counsel – Insurance Coverage and Litigation (Remote) Location: Remote Billables: 1,900 hours per year target Base Salary: 160,000 to 220,000 DOE + Bonuses from meeting your billables Bar Requirement: Must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar What This Firm Does This national defense firm represents major carriers in insurance coverage, complex coverage litigation, and bad faith defense. What You Will Do • Draft, refine, and review complex coverage opinions • Lead litigation strategy, including motions, depositions, and hearings • Manage client communication and oversee case progress • Handle bad faith and coverage litigation from start to finish • Mentor junior attorneys and support team development • Participate in mediations, settlement analysis, and risk evaluations • Review and interpret complex commercial and specialty insurance policies What You Need • JD from an accredited law school • Active California Bar license • 12+ years of insurance coverage or defense litigation experience • Strong coverage analysis background • Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision • Excellent writing, client management, and strategic planning skills • Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred Benefits • Full medical, dental, and vision • 401(k) with employer match • Paid parental leave • CLE and bar dues covered • Generous PTO and holiday schedule • Long term career growth with structured advancement paths Interested?
