About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Customer Success Technical Architect to join our team at blithequark. As a trusted technical advisor and advocate, you will work closely with our customers to ensure their success, retention, and expansion. Your primary objective will be to provide technical guidance, including best practices, for the blithequark product suite, partnering with cross-functional divisions such as Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to help our customers accelerate time to value, maximize product consumption, and achieve their overall business objectives. This role is both deeply technical and commercial in nature, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise, relationship management skills, and industry experience. You will leverage your technical background to advise customers on their architectures, including patterns and strategies for operating and maturing their blithequark subscription. You will also utilize your industry experience to guide customers on how they can best achieve their business goals and value-based outcomes via their blithequark investment. Key Responsibilities Champion and advocate for the customer within blithequark, serving as the technical voice of the customer and coordinating between blithequark Sales, Product, Services, Support, and Training teams to drive technical success. Identify customer technical objections and develop strategies to address those blockers to adoption, ensuring seamless integration and optimal use of blithequark solutions. Proactively support customers through technical lifecycle activities such as architecture planning, cluster and security design, monitoring and automation, reviewing and providing guidance on upgrade or migration plans, platform and application hardening ideas, and high availability design. Guide customers up the data streaming maturity curve through recommendations on advanced technical topics, such as data mesh, stream processing, utilization optimization, and performance tuning, helping them unlock the full potential of blithequark's data streaming platform. Develop and present periodic customer reviews, including analysis of technical health and operational performance, to blithequark senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability in customer success efforts. Document and transfer knowledge to customers and internal teams, assisting customers in advancing their knowledge and abilities on their own while also helping Technical Support Engineers and Professional Services teams better serve your customers. Leverage knowledge of customer environments and use cases to influence the roadmap of blithequark products, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers and stay ahead of the curve in the data streaming landscape. When necessary, roll up your sleeves and dig in to help address customer issues alongside blithequark Technical Support Engineers and Core Engineering, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction and a willingness to go above and beyond to resolve complex technical challenges. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent degree or experience, providing a solid foundation in technical principles and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated success in a technical Field role for a product/SaaS company with enterprise customers, with a proven track record of driving customer success and technical adoption. Passion for working on complex technical problems, with a strong understanding of modern infrastructure and streaming technologies, and a self-starter mentality that thrives in fast-paced environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to concisely explain tricky issues and complex solutions to a variety of personas, from technical stakeholders to business leaders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customers at a time while paying strict attention to detail and delivering results across multiple initiatives, such as driving expansion, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and retention. Collaborative spirit, outstanding consulting and relationship management skills, and the ability to rapidly switch context, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers. Hands-on knowledge of one or more key cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, and Azure), with a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and security best practices. Solid understanding of cloud networking and security technologies (e.g., VPC, Private Link, Private Service Connect, TLS/SSL, SASL, Kerberos, etc.), ensuring the secure and efficient deployment of blithequark solutions in cloud environments. Experience prototyping and analyzing code for client solutions in multiple languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, etc.), with a strong foundation in software development principles and practices. Experience with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of blithequark solutions in production environments. Experience with operating Linux, including configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of both RedHat and Debian-based distributions, providing a solid foundation in systems administration and infrastructure management. Ability to learn new technologies quickly, with a strong interest in doing so, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of data streaming and cloud computing. Preferred Qualifications blithequark Developer or Administrator certifications, demonstrating expertise in blithequark products and solutions, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, with a deep understanding of distributed streaming systems, data processing, and event-driven architectures. Experience helping customers build distributed systems or streaming solutions that use Apache Kafka alongside technologies such as Spark, Flink, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc., providing a strong foundation in data streaming and big data analytics.
