Position: Senior Legal Counsel (Remote) — Global IT Company Location: Germany Senior Legal Counsel (Remote) — Global IT Company My name is Mila Read and I specialise in recruiting in‑house lawyers for Technology companies. I am working with a global technology business, whose EMEA team is hiring a German‑speaking counsel. I have known the team for 8 years and wholeheartedly recommend them. My client is seeking a committed, creative, and commercially minded lawyer to join their EMEA Legal team supporting Sales activities in Germany and Switzerland. Key Responsibilities • Negotiate legal agreements for complex transactions with major B2B customers in Germany and Switzerland, in line with business strategy, internal policies, and standard practices. This includes working with both company and customer templates for product sales, software licensing, and services agreements, adapting terms to local legal requirements as needed. • Advise on and negotiate data protection, privacy, and security matters in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. • Act as a trusted legal advisor and business partner to Sales leadership, Finance, and Government Affairs. • Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives as a legal subject‑matter expert. • Deliver legal training and presentations on compliance and regulatory topics. Requirements • Fluency in English and German (if you speak French, this would be beneficial) • At least 5+ years (but preferably 8+) of experience in commercial and corporate law, gained at a leading law firm or within an international company. • Strong experience negotiating complex commercial agreements including knowledge of technology contracts, including software licensing, services, cloud/SaaS, IP, and data protection. • Sound judgment in advising on legal and regulatory matters in an international business environment. About you • You are a confident legal drafter with great attention to detail and a practical, common‑sense way of solving problems. • You are comfortable working on complex, fast‑moving sales deals and don’t panic when timelines are tight. • You see yourself as a business enabler — proactive, flexible, and focused on finding solutions rather than saying “no.” • You like taking ownership, stepping up when needed, and you’re curious and motivated to keep learning. • You enjoy working with others, build strong relationships easily, and communicate clearly and down to earth. • You are well organised, can juggle multiple priorities, and are happy working in a digital, tool‑driven environment but you also value working with amazing humans as your colleagues. Where you can work from You can work 100 % remotely but the company has offices in Munich and Frankfurt if you’d like to be in the office.
