As a Senior Manager on this team, you'll lead our Notifications Data Science team, focusing on developing and implementing strategies that enhance consumer engagement and drive growth. About the Role As a Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics - Notifications, Consumer Growth, you'll be responsible for leading a team of data scientists in driving deep analyses, uncovering key drivers of our business, and developing data-driven frameworks to inform product and operational initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional leaders, senior leadership, and partners across DoorDash to shape our Notifications roadmap and platform capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, providing guidance and mentorship to drive their growth and success. Drive complex analyses and uncover key drivers of our business, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Influence the product roadmap by making data-driven recommendations that drive business growth and improve consumer experiences. Develop and implement data-driven frameworks to facilitate prioritization of high-impact product and operational initiatives. Drive measurement strategy for the Notifications team, defining success metrics and implementing best practices around experiment design and statistical analysis. Interface frequently with senior leadership to showcase your team's work, tackle complex business problems, and drive strategic decisions. Essential Qualifications 4+ years of experience managing a team of data scientists in a formal or informal capacity, with a track record of delivering impactful analyses. 9+ years of experience in Data Science and Product Analytics, primarily in related industries such as tech, e-commerce, or consumer goods. Strong technical chops, with the ability to leverage technical expertise in a business context to drive strategic decisions. Deep understanding of, and hands-on experience with A/B experimentation, data pipelines, and statistical analysis. Excellent communication and cross-functional working skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences and influence strategic decisions. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a rapidly growing company, with a proven track record of adapting to changing business needs and priorities. Experience with machine learning, generative AI, or other advanced analytics techniques. Familiarity with the food delivery or logistics industry, with a deep understanding of the consumer growth landscape. Compensation and Benefits The base pay for this position ranges from $186,300 to $274,000, depending on your location and experience. In addition to base salary, you'll be eligible for equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.
