You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business partners, to identify market needs and develop innovative solutions that drive business value. Your expertise will be essential in shaping our product strategy, prioritizing features, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. **Key Responsibilities** Your role will involve a combination of strategic planning, delivery and execution, and people management. Key responsibilities include: ### Strategy & Planning (50%) * **Empathize with and understand end-user needs**: Use your expertise to determine the fastest path to deliver value to our customers. * **Translate business goals and end-user needs into product strategy**: Communicate direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners. * **Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value**: Continually make recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings. * **Manage and groom the product backlog**: Make future decisions based on the value that will be delivered. * **Partner with Finance to understand financial needs**: Assist in the creation of business plans for new opportunities. * **Monitor research and the competitive landscape**: Recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class. * **Ensure that product directions balance user needs and business goals**: Drive sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. ### Delivery & Execution (20%) * **Formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses**: Conduct user research and testing to understand needs. * **Document, review, and ensure quality and change control standards**: Create, prioritize, and accept user stories; incorporate them into release planning. * **Make product decisions that drive value**: Identify and consider pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements. * **Participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives**: Condense complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders. ### People (30%) * **Foster collaboration with team members**: Drive value and identify and resolve impediments. * **Act as a proponent of modern software development practices**: Advocate for the end-user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product. * **Work with the product team to continuously assess progress**: Disseminate lessons learned and understand next steps. * **Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations**: Execute on product strategy and provide education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience. * **Guide more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks**: Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice). **Requirements** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **3-6 years of relevant work experience**: Experience working as a Product Manager in a modern software development-based enterprise environment. * **Experience with modern software development product management practices**: Agile methodologies, specifically the extreme programming (XP) principles of paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment. * **Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, fluid environment**: Priorities shift on a regular basis. * **Proficiency in communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members**: At all levels in the organization. * **Proficiency in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team**: Creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories;
