Senior Program Manager, Value-Based Care Programs

Job Description The Senior Program Manager ensures the success and operational integrity of Value-Based Care programs by overseeing day-to-day operations, monitoring deliverables, and driving accountability across stakeholders. This role collaborates with internal teams, executive leadership, and provider partners to maintain program performance, address issues, and manage risks through escalation and mitigation planning. The Senior Program Manager ensures program changes align with business objectives and may lead the implementation of new programs or major program changes when required. What You'll Do • Ensure operational deliverables are met on schedule and within scope. • Identify and resolve operational issues; escalate risks when necessary and maintain a formal escalation process. • Provide program subject matter expertise to implementation teams and operational stakeholders. • Manage program changes and risks; develop mitigation and contingency plans. • Develop and execute communication plans to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders. • Maintain strong relationships with provider partners and vendors by fostering trust, ensuring open communication, and aligning on program changes and deliverables. • Maintain a program playbook and implement process improvements for efficiency. • Lead implementation of new programs or major program changes when required. • Track stakeholder commitments and follow up to maintain accountability. • Analyze and develop business processes to improve operational efficiency. • Monitor program performance and report KPIs, benefit realization, and engagement metrics. • Represent the organization in meetings with external parties, including consultants and vendors, and manage vendor service delivery as needed. • Support contract and financial oversight, including performance guarantees, vendor invoicing, and develop/tracking budgets, operating plans, and financial forecasts. • Apply strategic thinking to balance competing priorities and align program decisions with business objectives. What You Bring • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) • 5+ years of experience in related field. • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field. Bonus Points (preferred qualifications) • Proven experience in healthcare - clinical background a plus. • Experience managing Value-Based Care programs, including quality measurement, risk adjustment, financial performance, and data-driven decision-making. • Strong program management expertise with the ability to resolve bottlenecks, drive accountability, and maintain alignment with business objectives. • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage executive leadership, internal stakeholders, provider partners, and vendors effectively. • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to balance priorities, interpret data, and deliver actionable insights. • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, foster vendor trust, and ensure timely, efficient program execution. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
