Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our Installment Gadget Administrations team, which focuses on personalization and issuance of exclusive EMV Double connection point cards in plastic and metal structure elements to Amex's global clients. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our EMV card personalization and testing processes. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with a team of 6-8 programmers to design, develop, and test EMV card personalization and testing solutions Perform innovation partner EMV card personalization level approval/testing for assigned projects to ensure data design precision per relevant specifications and defined scope during the accreditation process Identify, investigate, and resolve complex processing, application use, or business issues Escalate chip card issues to internal Systems Architect, Product Development, Product Management, and Operations teams and manage issue resolution Conduct analysis to diagnose and resolve EMV card personalization issues in both test and production environments Present new technologies, industry trends, or purposeful ventures to partners and the broader organization; share learnings and insights Play an active role in hiring and coaching other specialists Essential Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Great knowledge of EMV smart card industry, certification, and implementation cycles or experience as a coordination professional, engineer, or certification role in the payment industry Experience with EMV card test tools like Barnes, OPV Experience with at least one programming language, Java an plus Demonstrated expertise in project and program management in highly complex, framework, and geographically scattered environments Ability to prioritize work across multiple, simultaneous projects Strong communication skills Analytical, scientific, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with metal card manufacturing processes Knowledge of payment industry standards and regulations Experience with Agile development methodologies Certification in software engineering or a related field What We Offer As a Senior Quality Engineer at American Express, you'll have access to a range of benefits and opportunities, including: Competitive salary of $26/hour Full-time employment with a stable and secure work environment Opportunities for career growth and professional development Collaborative and inclusive work environment Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off Why Join American Express?
