For more information, visit our website at www.revamp-eng.com ( Duties & Responsibilities: • Create highly complex structural engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects. • Design concrete or steel foundations for project equipment to meet jurisdictional requirements at local, State and Federal levels for various geotechnical parameters and soil types. • Oversee projects in a portfolio or a suite of projects. • Will act as Engineer of Record. • Will act as a supervisor. • Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance. • Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices. • Support client interaction for multiple projects in multiple portfolios. • Supervise, provide training for, and mentor assigned staff engineers. • Independently evaluate, select, and adapt procedures and criteria. • Develop new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products. • Assist upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor. • Lead all staff necessary to complete assignments. • Apply advanced knowledge of renewable energy system layouts and components such as modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems (BOS). • Plan, schedule, or coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects or is responsible for an entire portfolio. • Seek guidance, when necessary, on unconventional or complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. • Receive a review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment. • Act as main point of contact for their discipline or project team on portfolios. • Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines. • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering is required. • Professional Engineering licensure (or Canadian PEng.) is required. SE licensure is strongly preferred. • 8+ years of experience in a structural engineering design role. • 2+ years' experience with utility or commercial solar PV systems, substations, or energy storage system design is strongly preferred. • Advanced knowledge of software tools, including RISA 2D/3D/Foundation, Enercalc, L-PILE, or similar. • Strong familiarity with ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360/341, IBC, NDS, and other relevant codes and standards. • Advanced ability to read and understand site studies, geotechnical reports, and civil, structural, and architectural drawings. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently. • Prior supervisory or managerial experience is desirable. • Ability to identify and solve complex problems. • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
