Senior Tax Manager -Indirect Tax
The Senior Tax Manager -Indirect Tax, will be responsible for managing the company’s Indirect Tax go-to-market motions which will have an immediate focus on hyperscaler marketplace implementations and M&A. The role will also be a key member in identifying and implementing indirect tax technology projects as well as collaborating with external advisors and works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has deep technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset. Job Description: Lead the indirect tax research and technology design for all global Hyperscalers and marketplace transactions Lead Global Indirect Tax M&A work including due diligence review, risk assessments, and implementation planning and execution Be a key partner representing indirect tax for all new go to market motions and other strategic business initiatives. Support these business units in assessing the global indirect tax implications of these new initiatives and determine necessary system changes. Embrace, identify and drive indirect tax process improvements, automation, and workflows with a focus to AI adoption, minimizing indirect tax team manual effort and mitigating compliance risks Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of indirect tax technology solutions for indirect tax compliance, reporting, and automation initiatives. Be the liaison with cross-functional teams on indirect tax issues (Finance, Sales, Accounts Payable, Credit & Collections, Procurement, IT) Monitor new tax developments and legislative changes; proactively identify impact and solutions Help manage and coordinate the efforts of the indirect tax team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development to ensure high performance and effective tax compliance. Oversee the optimization of indirect tax data management, analytics, and reporting tools Support with special tax projects as they arise. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or Finance Minimum 8 years of indirect tax experience required (combined public accounting and software/technology industry) Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. Strong knowledge of global indirect tax regulations (VAT, GST, sales tax) and e-invoicing and digital tax reporting requirements. Project management and leadership skills to work proactively and manage competing priorities Hands-on experience with tax engines (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Experience with data analytics, automation tools, and process improvement methodologies (Snowflake, Alteryx).
