Solutions Architect/Competence Lead; Google Cloud Practice
Position: Solutions Architect / Competence Lead (Google Cloud Practice) Role overview As a Solutions Architect / Competence Lead for the Google Cloud Practice, you will play a central role in both our external technical engagements and internal capability building. Externally, you will serve as a trusted advisor and technical lead during the entire pre-sales lifecycle — from discovery sessions and architecture scoping to solution demos, RFPs, and proof-of-concept delivery. You will work closely with our business development team to position Cloudfresh as a strategic technology partner. Internally, this is a strategic technical leadership position. You will help define the direction of our Google Cloud Practice, shape our portfolio of professional services, and build out the technical standards, methodologies, and competencies that will enable scalable and repeatable delivery. You will collaborate with the CTO, CRO, and vendor partners (Google, Zendesk, Git Hub, etc.) to create a robust technical foundation — not only across Google Cloud Platform, but also in adjacent services like Apigee, Looker, Workspace, and, in the future, AWS and Azure. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for a seasoned architect who is ready to build, lead, and scale — both with clients and within the company. Requirements • 8+ years in the IT industry, including at least 2 years in architecture or solution consulting roles • 2+ years of hands-on experience in technical pre-sales engagements with enterprise clients • English – Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher • Hands-on experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or architecture roles • Deep understanding of core Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Big Query) • Experience with additional services in the Google ecosystem — such as Vertex AI, Looker, or Apigee — is a strong advantage • Knowledge of CI/CD, Dev Ops practices, and modern infrastructure design • Exposure to Git Hub, Zendesk, or Google Workspace is desirable • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business goals into technical solutions • Experience with AWS or Azure is a nice-to-have Responsibilities • Act as a technical advisor to clients throughout the entire pre-sales cycle • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, solution demos, and technical consultations • Collaborate with sales to shape proposals and solution architecture • Validate solution designs, create documentation, lead POCs/POVs • Support the creation and refinement of Google Cloud-based service offerings • Build internal technical knowledge and drive the company’s cloud expertise. • Participate in online and offline events as a speaker, contributor, practitioner.
