Job Summary We're offering a unique opportunity for a skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Redwood City, CA. As a Special Education Teacher with The Stepping Stones Group, you'll work in a full-time, school-based position, providing tailored support and instruction to students with special needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student Provide high-quality instruction and support to students with special needs, using evidence-based practices and strategies Collaborate with colleagues and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to student support Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the diverse needs of students Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research-based strategies in special education Essential Qualifications: Graduate from a teaching program Current license as a Special Education Teacher in CA Strong understanding of special education principles, practices, and laws Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Preferred Qualifications: School experience, preferably in a special education setting Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment Knowledge of assistive technology and other support tools Skills and Competencies: Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Emotional intelligence and empathy Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment What We Offer: Competitive Salary and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $45,000 to $55,000, depending on experience.
