Over the past five years, Ocient has built a SQL compliant data warehouse for Petabyte and beyond datasets that is 10x to 50x times faster than competitive OLAP databases. Position Overview: Ocient is searching for an experienced UX Designer with an eye for design, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating compelling user experiences for highly technical users. This person will take on complex projects and lead strategic design initiatives. They will create user-centric solutions that align with business goals through research, prototypes, and monitoring the end-to-end user experience. This person is a strong communicator and will work closely with multiple business units to align design with product vision and implementation. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional team, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver compelling user experiences. Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that simplify complex workflows. Develop polished, high-fidelity visual designs that align with our brand, with a focus on clarity, scalability, accessibility, and ease of use. Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design accuracy and seamless implementation. Plan and conduct usability testing to validate design decisions, incorporating user feedback to refine and improve experiences. Effectively communicate design rationale to stakeholders, aligning designs with user needs and business goals. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, delivering high-quality digital experiences for enterprise software. Expertise with design tools such as Figma. Expertise in creating both visual and interaction design specifications. Strategic product thinking with a strong ability to translate complex concepts into simple, user-centered solutions. Evidence of a robust design process, including user research, wireframes, interaction design, and annotated high-fidelity prototypes. Proactive self-starter capable of independently driving projects forward, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a remote-first environment. Strong communication skills and collaboration. A portfolio of previous work Ability to speak and write in English fluently. An ideal candidate will have: Experience designing for complex data analytics software. Experience with cloud and on-premise enterprise software. Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
