Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in establishing accounting processes and infrastructure while managing financial reporting and compliance within a fast-growing startup environment. Responsibilities Assist with the creation of the accounting infrastructure/systems and establishing department processes and best practices Manage the recording of revenue, cost of revenue and collection of cash Assist with treasury and cash management functions including vendor payments, invoicing, collection/tracking of customer balances, and creation of automated solutions Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Complete various local and municipal taxes and filings Help develop and maintain compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and operations Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience (internships, co-ops, or full-time roles) Basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting function Benefits Innovative company culture Flexible work schedules Family paid leave Paid healthcare for employees 401k Professional development & career advancements Flexible paid time off Employee referral bonus Company Overview Resilience supports companies assess, measure, and manage their cyber risk by balancing risk acceptance, mitigation, and transfer.
