Overview Staff Pharmacist - Wilmington/Boston, MA, Amazon Pharmacy Innovation is at the core of what we do. We are looking for a Pharmacist to join us on our journey to make it dramatically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to stay healthy. This role will require hands-on involvement in the operation, handling tasks ranging from dispensing medications to managing the entire process of prescription fulfillment, ensuring completion from initiation to the final stage. This includes filling, verifying, and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist verifications. Responsibilities • Manage and maintain customer profiles in PharmacyOS • Process and verify initial prescription orders • Coordinate prescription transfers • Process new prescriptions • Focus on system-based verification and documentation • Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses • Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure all packet and bulk sets undergo thorough quality assurance prior to shift end • Collaborate with the pharmacy team on production relative to new business lines and ensure QA checks • Complete ancillary housekeeping tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing substitutions, and canister approval • Answer clinical questions and provide clinical guidance • Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting • Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to the distribution team • Ensure compliance with company procedures and Federal/State laws, rules, and regulations • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction Qualifications • Bachelor of Science or PharmD Degree • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in the state of employment (and others upon request) • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations concerning patient care • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) • Ability to perform basic computer functions • Warehouse work experience, including the ability to lift 20 lbs Preferred Qualifications • Experience in LTC or Retail settings • Excellent communication skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $161,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
