Summer Intern - Scientific Communications

The Summer Intern in Scientific Communications will support the Medical Affairs Team by contributing to medical strategy, engaging in special projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of medical strategy and aligned deliverables used in scientific exchange and medical education Participate in pipeline and launch planning activities within Medical Affairs Engage in special projects in Scientific Communications including development of materials for Field Medical, planning for training activities, and managing sponsored online educational platforms Interact with Insmed stakeholders across departments and geographies (e.g., Medical Strategy, Scientific Communications, Publications, Field Medical, Global Medical Training, HEOR, Clinical Development, EMEA, Japan, etc.) Skills Current student working on a Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced level degree (PhD, PharmD or MD) in life sciences or healthcare High level understanding, or ability to understand, the role of Medical Affairs in a pharmaceutical company Awareness of relevant guidance including, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) code on Interactions with Healthcare Compliance, CME Open Payments reporting and willingness to learn how to apply these in practice Ability to assess scientific/clinical/real world evidence data and how this can be used to drive medical strategy Planning and execution of scientific communications deliverables to ensure a global approach that accurately and consistently communicates education on disease areas of interest Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and effectively communicate complex scientific and clinical data Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness Demonstrated ability to work effectively within collaborative and cross-functional teams Benefits Paid company holidays Hands-on learning in real-world projects Networking opportunities with leaders and social events with your peers Mentorship and professional development A final presentation to celebrate your contributions Access to office amenities for those who are not remote Company Overview Insmed is a people-first global biopharmaceutical company striving to deliver first- and best-in-class therapies to transform the lives of patients facing serious diseases.
