Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring to students, as scheduled, to support their academic development and progress. Assist with classroom management, including organizing instructional materials and maintaining a conducive learning environment. Compile and maintain accurate student records, including attendance, testing results, student progress, and achievement. Offer instructional support to classroom instructors, providing information and materials as needed. Conduct parent involvement activities, including parent-teacher conferences, home visits, and communication via phone or email. Coordinate parent/family school functions, fostering a collaborative relationship between students, parents, and instructors. Attend meetings and conferences to provide information, facilitate communication, and support student success. Provide support in library or media centers, as needed. Conduct progress monitoring assessments and maintain accurate records. Perform other duties as assigned, including preparing program newsletters, school announcements, and bulletins. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Completed two years (48 semester credits) of study at an institution of higher education, or obtained an associate's degree. Met a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrated knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness). Ability to maintain effective communication with students and staff, functioning effectively as a team member. Ability to carry out and evaluate student achievement, with support from certified teachers. Demonstrated instructional technology skills. Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds in an instructional setting. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly valued. Experience with progress monitoring assessments and data management. Familiarity with educational software and technology. Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
