U.S.-Based Industrial Designer Needed for 3D CAD Prototype of Shape-Memory Silicone
Project Overview: We are seeking a talented U.S.-based Industrial Designer to develop the virtual prototype for Auratie, a flagship "invisible" hair tie. We are prioritizing a Virtual-First development process to optimize geometry before any physical sampling. This is a Fixed Price project with two milestones: • Milestone 1: Initial 3D Concept & Virtual Review. • Milestone 2: Final DFM-ready STEP files. How will you optimize this for U.S.-based Liquid Silicone Rubber molding? Scope of Work: 1. 3D Digital Modeling: Create high-fidelity CAD models (SolidWorks or Fusion 360 preferred). 2. Material Optimization: virtually test wall thickness and geometry for Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR). 3. 3D Print Ready: Final files must be optimized for SLA/DLP 3D printing for low-cost physical testing. 4. DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Ensure files are optimized for U.S.-based injection molding (draft angles, parting lines). Qualifications: • Location: Must be based in the United States. • Experience: Proven history with silicone, elastomers, or personal care products. • Deliverables: Production-ready STEP and STL files.
