A Papa Pal is a warm, caring individual who provides part-time companionship and assistance to seniors and families. As a Papa Pal, your role will include helping with household chores, running errands, providing transportation, and most importantly, offering friendly company and a listening ear. You'll be the highlight of someone's day, and we're looking for kind, patient, and reliable people with a passion for helping others to join our team. Key Responsibilities: Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and families Assist with household chores, such as light housekeeping and laundry Run errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions Provide transportation to appointments and social events Engage in activities that bring joy and comfort to our members, such as playing games, watching movies, or going for walks Communicate effectively with our members, their families, and our team to ensure everyone's needs are met Earn Great Pay While Doing Good As a Papa Pal, you'll have the opportunity to earn up to $22/hour, with bonuses available for exceptional performance. You'll also receive mileage reimbursement for transportation visits, depending on your location. With our flexible scheduling system, you can choose from hourly visit opportunities that fit your schedule, typically 2-4 hours each. Requirements: Age 21 or older Ability to communicate in English Valid U.S. issued driver's license Authorized to work in the United States Able to pass a background check Able to pass a motor vehicle report Proof of valid vehicle insurance with your name on the policy Access to a smartphone Access to a vehicle 2008 or newer No prior healthcare or caregiving experience required, but a kind heart and a passion for helping others is a must Essential Qualifications: To be successful as a Papa Pal, you'll need to possess certain skills and qualities, including: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic knowledge of household chores and errand running Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic A passion for helping others and making a positive impact in your community Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in caregiving or healthcare Certification in CPR/First Aid Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities Bilingual or multilingual skills Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Papa, we're committed to helping our Papa Pals grow and develop in their careers.
