As our VP, People & Culture, you will be responsible for implementing human resource strategy to drive growth, development and retention at Splice. You will support the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization and be deeply knowledgeable in areas ranging from: succession planning, diversity and inclusion, talent management, change management, organizational strategy, M&A, performance management, training and development, and compensation. You will provide strategic leadership by understanding and articulating HR needs to Splice’s Leadership Team and Board of Directors. You will help shape the vision and direction of our company culture by leading the People Team, and partnering cross functionally with key business partners. Why Splice? Music starts at Splice. What You’ll Do: • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission, values and strategic vision. • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall OKR objectives. • Partner with the Executives to own and oversee the OKR planning processes on both the company level and People team level. • Oversee People Operations, with deep understanding of Compensation & Benefits, Employee Experience, Policy & Compliance, HRIS management and People Analytics. • Manage, coach and develop all HR and people functions. • Function as a strategic business advisor to the Executive management team, helping to grow and develop business leaders and solve organizational and management issues. • Be a key stakeholder in the organizational design process, working collaboratively and cross functionally with business leaders. • Advance DEI efforts throughout the entire organization, navigate difficult conversations as they arise. Loop in the appropriate stakeholders to determine what action is necessary. • Developing managers and leadership into effective team builders. Ensure learning pathways for employees to improve skills, performance and understanding of company goals and values. • Manage the hiring and retention strategy to keep the company growing and staffed with the appropriate human capital needs of the business. • Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law. • Draft and implement the organization's staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department. What we’re looking for: • A minimum of 12 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience. • Proven experience leading organizations through transformation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. • Demonstrated commitment to DEI in staff leadership and management. • Handles ambiguity in a complex environment. • Excellent organizational skills and leadership skills. • If candidate is remote, may need to travel to NYC area 3-4 times per year.
