About the Role: Weekend On-Call Telephone Support Specialist We're seeking a reliable and proactive Weekend On-Call Telephone Support Specialist to provide essential out-of-hours telephone support to our care workers and clients during weekends. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for handling sporadic calls related to urgent issues, rota management, and general queries. Key Responsibilities: Responding to Incoming Calls: Answer calls in a professional and friendly manner throughout the weekend, providing exceptional customer service and support. Evaluating Call Nature: Assess the nature of each call and take appropriate action, ensuring that urgent issues are addressed promptly and efficiently. Managing Rota Changes: Assist with last-minute scheduling and rota changes for care staff, working closely with our Scheduling Team to ensure seamless service delivery. Problem-Solving: Offer practical solutions to issues that arise, utilizing your problem-solving skills to ensure continuity of care services. Escalating Critical Issues: Escalate critical or complex issues to our management team as needed, ensuring that sensitive situations are handled with care and attention. Logging Calls and Outcomes: Maintain accurate records of calls and outcomes, using our organized and efficient logging system. Essential and Preferred Qualifications: Strong Common Sense: Demonstrate a practical and sensible approach to handling calls and situations. Excellent Phone Manner: Possess a calm, patient, and professional demeanor when interacting with care staff and clients. Problem-Solving Skills: Showcase your ability to think outside the box and offer practical solutions to issues. Prior Experience: Previous experience in telephone support, customer service, or the care sector is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided. Composure under Pressure: Remain composed and empathetic during sensitive situations, demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence. Rota Management: A good understanding of rota management or experience in the care industry is a bonus; full training will be provided. Reliable Phone and Workspace: Must have access to a reliable phone and a quiet space to work from during on-call hours.
