XTN-93E9216 | WORKDAY INTEGRATION CONSULTANT
I. POSITION PURPOSE: The HRIS Integrations Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions between the HRIS platform (Workday) and third-party systems. This role ensures secure, scalable, and efficient data flows across platforms, supporting HR, Payroll, and Finance operations. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement modern integration patterns and automation workflows aligned with enterprise architecture and compliance standards. • MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT: • Design and implement integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI), Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Integration Cloud Connect • Develop and maintain integrations using SOAP/REST APIs, XML, XSLT, and web services • Configure and optimize, for example Workday Integration Cloud Platform features • Implement AI-powered data validation and transformation workflows • Create secure integration patterns following zero-trust architecture principles • Develop automated testing frameworks for integration validation • Maintain documentation and integration governance standards • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment I. BUSINESS EXPERTISE: • Strong understanding of HR business processes and data workflows. • Experience working in fast-paced SaaS environments and collaborating with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable and compliant integration solutions. • Experience integrating Workday with SAP and other enterprise platforms using SAP CPI. • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and cloud-based integration platforms. II. MATRIX ORGANISATION / FUNCTIONAL LEAD • Reporting to the Global Technical Lead • Collaborates with HRIS project management, business process owners, and regional Digital Solutions and HR teams. III. PROBLEM SOLVING: • Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues, optimize data flows, and ensure system reliability. • Skilled in identifying root causes, implementing preventive measures, and continuously improving integration performance and security. IV. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: • Strong communication and collaboration skills in English • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, cross-functional team environment • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement • Willingness to mentor peers and share technical knowledge I. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • 4+ years of experience with Workday integration development • Certified Workday Integration Professional certification • Expertise in XML, XSLT, web services, and API development • Strong knowledge of Workday security architecture and compliance standards • Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI) for HRIS and enterprise system integrations. • Experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and Workday Studio • Proficiency in integration testing and monitoring tools • Understanding of HR business processes and data workflows • Experience with AI-assisted integration development tools • Knowledge of modern iPaaS platforms and cloud integration patterns • Familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) tools • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines • Additional Workday certifications (HCM, Security, etc.) • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Background in HR technology implementations • Experience with Japanese culture and management methodologies (e.g., kaizen, KJ methodology) is a plus.
