ACT/SAT tutors, as well as k-12 English, Math, and Science tutors

Please only apply through the form below (we have the most need for additional ACT/SAT applicants): Subjects We Are Hiring For • ACT / SAT test preparation (experienced tutors with proven results) • High school math (Algebra through AP Calculus BC, geometry)- you do not need to be able to do all of these) • High school science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, AP sciences, you do not need to be able to do all sciences) • Reading / dyslexia support(Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or similar structured literacy training preferred) Responsibilities • Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and course progression • Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed • Communicate clearly with students and families regarding progress and goals • Use a Socratic-style teaching approach (Please familiarize yourself with this method and be prepared to demonstrate it during the interview process) Experience & Skills • Prior tutoring or teaching experience strongly preferred • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and efficiently • Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive teaching style • Comfort working with students of varying abilities and learning profiles Hours & Scheduling • You set your availability and desired number of hours (as little as 3 or as much as 25+) • Most sessions take place after school (generally 3pm CT or later) or on weekends Compensation (based on experience & interview performance) • College-aged tutors: $20–30/hr • Newer tutors with a degree: $30–40/hr • Experienced subject tutors: $40–65/hr • Experienced ACT/SAT tutors (proven results, minimal training required): $50–80+/hr, newer tutors 30-50/hr • Executive functioning and dyslexia: Discussed based on experience and training Application Instructions Please include the following in the application form: • Your tutoring/teaching experience • Subjects and levels you are comfortable tutoring (e.g., “Math through Precalculus,” “Chemistry but not AP Chemistry”) • A 5–10 minute teaching video (Zoom recordings are acceptable) Please only apply through the form below: Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $80.00 per hour Expected hours: 2 – 25 per week Benefits: • Employee discount • Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
