Analyst, Investment Liaison Fixed Income - High Yield and Private Debt
About the position The Fixed Income Investment Liaison specializing in High Yield and Private Debt Strategies acts as a primary point of contact between the fixed income investment staff and other operational teams. This role is instrumental in supporting our investment strategy through building subject matter expertise via on-the-job learning. The liaison supports portfolio management operations and represents the investment strategy to internal groups, serving as a conduit to the investment staff. Responsibilities include portfolio attribution and quantitative support. Strong attention to detail, client service, and technical skills are essential. Responsibilities • Under the general guidance of senior team members and management, supports ongoing operational activities related to portfolio management and credit research. Activities include researching and analyzing investment and performance data; generating bespoke investment-, risk-, and performance-related reporting; and resolving low to moderately complex investment-related operational issues independently. • Provide various quantitative reports for risk positioning and metrics. • Uses discretion to coordinate responses to ad hoc and recurring quantitative investment-related data inquiries from internal teams, clients, consultants, and prospects. • Drafts responses to complex requests for review by more experienced team members. • Develops content as directed by investment staff and senior team members. • With guidance and oversight from senior team members and management, participates in investment-initiated projects. • Develops use cases and testing plans and participates in unit testing as requested to ensure successful outcomes. • Participates in training new employees on policies and procedures. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND • 2+ years of total relevant work experience • Strong attention to detail and client service. • Demonstrated technical experience. • Proven experience in change management, efficiency, and technology. • Proven experience working with and communicating with portfolio managers or senior-level persons. Nice-to-haves • 3+ years of work experience in finance or financial services. • Experience with high yield or fixed income private placements or private credit • Progress towards an MBA, MSF, or CFA program. • Strong technical skills to manage analytics and portfolio attribution. • Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems without technology solutions. • Strong communication skills, including technical writing to concisely summarize and communicate between investment personnel and operational teams.
