ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTING ANALYST

The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is seeking an Associate Accounting Analyst to join their team. This role involves performing professional accounting and financial analysis work related to the Office Revolving Fund and Travel Advance accounts, utilizing financial systems to reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with regulations. Responsibilities Independently utilize FI$Cal and other financial systems to reconcile accounts, process warrants, monitor advances, research discrepancies, and ensure compliance with State Administrative Manual (SAM), Departmental policies, and applicable state and federal FI$Cal requirements Provide backup accounting and travel support during emergency operations Participate in year-end financial reporting activities Skills Perform professional accounting and Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) analysis work related to the Office Revolving Fund (ORF) and Travel Advance accounts Independently utilize FI$Cal and other financial systems to reconcile accounts, process warrants, monitor advances, research discrepancies, and ensure compliance with State Administrative Manual (SAM), Departmental policies, and applicable state and federal FI$Cal requirements Provide backup accounting and travel support during emergency operations Participate in year-end financial reporting activities List the Job Code (JC) and Position Number for this position in the 'EXAMINATION(S) OR JOB TITLE(S) FOR WHICH YOU ARE APPLYING' section on the State Application, STD. 678 List your most current employment history first in the 'EMPLOYMENT HISTORY' section on the STD. 678 Provide the 'From' and 'To' dates with the month, day and year, the 'Hours Per Week' that you worked and the Total Worked (Years/Months).
