About the Role We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Business Development, to lead our business development efforts in the US Southwestern Region, specifically in Southern California and Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by targeting and acquiring new customers, maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships, and promoting our industry-leading oncology biobank and service platforms. Key Responsibilities: Target Account Management: Identify and pursue target accounts in Southern California and Arizona, representing biotechnology, biopharma, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic oncology research and development companies. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and grow customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and revenue growth. Product and Service Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in Indivumed Services' GCLP laboratory services offerings, including fluorescent multiplex immunohistochemistry services and clinical biomarker services. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Prospect into growing biotechnology companies with oncology drugs in the pipeline, and generate leads through various marketing activities. Sales Forecasting and Performance Management: Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales forecasting, and manage expenses for the Territory. CRM Management: Maintain the company CRM database and update daily, providing reports of sales activities within the CRM (Salesforce). Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with marketing and customer service support resources to grow the Indivumed market in the Territory, and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: BS Degree in the areas of biology, human genetics, medicine, pharmacology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, pathology, or equivalent. Sales Experience: At least 3 years of sales experience at a life science company. Location: Candidates must be located in the Greater San Diego or the Greater Los Angeles areas. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree: Science degree (M.S. preferred) in the areas of biology, human genetics, medicine, pharmacology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, pathology, or equivalent. Oncology Knowledge: Knowledge about oncology, the cancer drug and diagnostic development processes, preclinical testing procedures, and/or biobanking. GCLP Experience: Preferably knowledge in selling GCLP relevant services, including clinical biomarker studies.
