Brand Sales Specialist Co-Op - Entry Level Sales Program - University Park
Join IBM as a Brand Sales Specialist Co-Op to develop client relationships and apply solution-selling skills in a collaborative, innovative environment. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Apply IBM’s sales methodology to identify new clients and expand existing accounts through multiple channels including cold calling. • Build credibility and trust using consultative methods at all levels to facilitate closure of complex deals. • Use solution-selling expertise to engage decision makers, assess business opportunities, and establish strategic partnerships. • Assist with the end-to-end sales process including RFI/RFP response preparation and attainment of KPIs, focusing on new business sales and extending services to existing accounts. • Collaborate with IBM’s sales ecosystem including Marketing, Sales, technical colleagues, and Business Partners to develop sales campaigns and grow the pipeline. About You The company is looking for: • Registered undergraduate or graduate university student actively pursuing a degree. • Seeking B.S. or M.S. degree in Business/Communications with a STEM minor, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar technical disciplines. • Confidence to contact and engage potential new customers and deliver an elevated experience. • Motivation to achieve sales, business objectives, and high client satisfaction. • Aptitude to utilize selling technologies to network, engage clients, and identify new business opportunities. • Curiosity and a growth mindset. • Client-focused with ability to ask open-ended questions and understand business challenges. • Tech savvy and conversant about technology and industry trends. • Team player with strong collaboration and communication skills. • Self-starter motivated to work with clients and lead projects independently. • Programming coursework or experience preferred. • Must have the ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship. Compensation & Benefits • Projected salary range: $72,000 to $132,000 per year. • Up to 8 paid holidays and minimum of 56 hours paid sick time. • IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. • Paid family medical leave and disability benefits where required by law.
