California-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney (Remote, Flexible Hours)

Latitude is looking for California-barred and based lawyers with 4+ years of personal injury defense litigation experience for an engagement position with a boutique law firm. The job is fully remote. The successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a dynamic team and have significant litigation experience handling written discovery, motion work, depositions and court hearings. Responsibilities Of The California-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney • Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence • Handle all aspects of discovery • Efficiently and competently research legal issues • Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to colleagues and clients Requirements For The California-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney • 4+ years of litigation experience at a personal injury defense law firm • Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing • J.D. from an accredited law school • Outstanding references Position Details Of The California-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney • Type of Role: Engagement or Engagement to Permanent • Schedule: Part-Time, Full-Time or anything in between • Location: Remote (but must reside in California) Compensation • Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $135,000 to $175,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position). • Benefits: Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available.
