About the Role As a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Southwest Airlines, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the company's cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Work within a DevOps culture and team to engineer, design, develop, implement, and maintain new and emerging technology platforms. Establish and maintain policies and guidelines to ensure quality and quantity of work. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Knowledge of AWS Foundation and automation tools like Cloud Development. Understanding of AWS compute, storage, security advancements. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC). Skills in containerization using Docker. Proficiency in monitoring tools. The ability to coach and mentor colleagues, introducing new ideas and innovations. Capacity to anticipate business needs and lead a team towards identifying and solving cross-domain issues. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Experience working in a DevOps environment.
