Consumer Underwriter

They are seeking a Consumer Underwriter to evaluate and negotiate consumer offerings within their underwriting policies, while managing dealer relationships and increasing portfolio revenue. Responsibilities Increase dealer portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and upholding Ally’s risk management principles Leverage high-touch and high-tech capabilities to negotiate contracts Demonstrate market awareness, strong listening, and adaptability as you build and cultivate strong relationships with dealers Requires flexibility in work schedule; evening hours, limited travel, and weekends required Skills 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime) Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills Self-starter with a high level of productivity and sense of ownership, with the ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new situations Familiarity with the Auto Finance industry, consumer credit, and trend analysis/analytics with the ability to work independently and drive your business results Bachelor's degree Benefits Time Away: Program starts at 20 paid time off days in addition to 11 paid holidays and 8 hours of volunteer time off yearly (time off days are prorated based on start date and program varies based on full or part-time status and management level).
