Crypto Derivatives Sales-Trader

We have an opportunity for an ambitious Crypto-Derivatives Sales Trader to join SDM Financial, our US affiliated entity. Reporting to the Head of Derivatives, the Trader will work in close collaboration with the members of the Trading Desk, sales & business development team, as well as the finance and quantitative group. On a day to day basis, You will apply research, and master technology to uncover trading opportunities, execute trades, and manage client relationships. Responsibilities & Expectations The candidate must be based in the United States, with preference to those located in larger US Markets. Responsibilities: • Provide competitive quotes to and execute trades with OTC clients and LPs • Develop and execute Crypto Derivative trades (options, swaps, futures) • Ensure strict adherence to trading limits whilst executing trade • Develop new and existing client relationships; with constant rapport with existing clients, and obtain new clients by attending conferences, social media outreach, etc. • Proactively manage portfolio of clients, ensuring service level of the highest standards • Assist other internal service partners with post trade analysis and risk management tasks • Monitor market developments, news, and macro events to identify opportunities and risks for clients • Conduct research and generate trade ideas for distribution both internally and externally • Collaborate with the marketing team and provide input/assist to write market commentary and other sales collateral • Stay current with changes in system functionality, market structure changes, and industry developments • Support post-trade processes in coordination with operations, risk, and compliance teams Required Experience & Skills: • 2+ years of experience in derivatives sales or trading, ideally within the crypto or broader financial markets • Expert understanding of the crypto markets and various trading strategies • Programming skills are at or above average • You are competitive by nature and always want to win • Strong risk management skills • Excited about working in a start-up environment • Excellent history of exceptional client service • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math is considered an asset What You Will Gain from Joining our Team: • Joining a great growth centric, exciting team culture • A chance to make a difference in a growing company • Exciting projects and an opportunity to shape our future • Competitive compensation and benefits package • Flexibility • A focus and support on professional development - we value ongoing learning Benefits: • Competitive compensation • Health benefits • Flexible working conditions • Great Location with highly-talented international colleagues • Be a part of the exciting future of the cryptocurrency revolution and work at Canada's no.1 cryptocurrency brokerage!
