Job Overview As an ABA/Autism Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work directly with children and families, implementing ABA therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions and maintain accurate records Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans as directed by a BCBA Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity Essential Qualifications High School diploma or GED required Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, or equivalent experience in a related field 1-year ABA Experience, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time Preferred Qualifications Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, or willingness to obtain certification Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families University partnerships, supervision, practicum, and mentoring experience, or interest in pursuing a career as a BCBA Tuition discount with our Partners, or interest in pursuing further education in a related field Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Key Autism Services, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
