As a member of our Design team, you'll be part of a dynamic group that owns the design and development of all Target-owned brands, from apparel to home goods, and beauty to essentials. In this role, you'll drive brand cohesion and continuity, ensuring that our products meet merchant line plans, assortment strategies, price points, and overall creative direction. Key Responsibilities Develop big ideas and creative concepts that achieve Target's overall product strategy and financial objectives. Lead the development of product design and strategy, providing vision for brand concept and executing product design. Align business priorities and assortment architecture with Divisional Merchandise Managers, building resources needed to deliver on assortment needs. Drive financial results by providing design solutions for business opportunities that are differentiated from the marketplace and unique to Target. Manage the integrity of Target brands by delivering appropriate "point of view" and "point of difference" while preserving consistency across Divisions within each brand. Lead the aesthetic execution of product, including color, fabric/finish standards, print and pattern, expression of fit and trim/findings, and other materials. Conduct seasonal trend research and lead product design and development processes, leveraging cross-company synergy within Target. Lead, develop, and manage team members by setting clear objectives, providing ongoing performance feedback, and evaluating potential. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A four-year degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 15+ years of experience in product design and development in a retail or wholesale environment, with a successful track record. 15+ years of experience in a specified category, with domestic and overseas market travel experience. Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills. Demonstrated leadership ability of product development teams. In-depth knowledge of design and product development processes, including textiles and garment manufacture. Experience understanding the consumer and successful team leadership overseeing a team size of ten or more. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment. Knowledge of current design trends and technologies. Experience with design software and tools, such as CAD and PLM systems. A proven track record of driving business growth through innovative design solutions. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $125,600.00 - $226,100.00, based on factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
