About the Role: Supporting Student Success in Elementary Classrooms As an Elementary Instructional Paraprofessional, you'll work closely with our certified teachers to provide individualized and small-group instruction to students in inclusive classrooms. Your primary goal will be to support the academic success and personal growth of our students, helping them develop essential skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and more. This remote-friendly role offers the flexibility and autonomy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. Key Responsibilities: Assisting Teachers and Supporting Students Assist with planning and instructing individual and small groups of students in all academic areas, under the guidance of certified teachers. Supervise and instruct students without a certified teacher present, providing tutoring and support during various activities. Ensure student safety and security during lunch, recess, and other activities, promoting a positive and respectful school culture. Prepare educational materials, including designing, copying, and binding, to support classroom instruction. Assist with student data collection, maintaining accurate records of student progress, and helping to inform instruction. Administer tests and assessments as directed by certified teachers, providing valuable insights into student learning. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents, fostering strong relationships and promoting student success. Provide basic first aid and support as needed, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment. Essential Qualifications: Skills and Competencies for Success To excel as an Elementary Instructional Paraprofessional, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents. A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to work with multiple grade levels and teachers. Basic math and computer skills, including keyboarding and word processing, to support instructional activities. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Preferred qualifications include: CPR/First Aid certifications, demonstrating your ability to respond to emergencies and provide care. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), allowing you to communicate effectively with a diverse range of students and families. Experience working with children or in a classroom setting, providing a deeper understanding of instructional practices and student needs. What We Offer: Competitive Compensation and Benefits As an Elementary Instructional Paraprofessional with 27J Schools, you'll enjoy a competitive hourly salary ranging from $16.46 to $20.28, depending on your relevant experience. This 9-month position is paid over 12 months, providing a stable and predictable income.
