Job Overview: Lead Teacher Role We're seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a Lead Teacher, you'll be responsible for creating a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that promotes learning, socialization, and fun. You'll work closely with families, colleagues, and children to develop strong relationships, encourage parent and community engagement, and maintain high-quality standards of care. Key Responsibilities: Provide and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards. Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs, encouraging partnership and support. Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a sense of community and cooperation. Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines. Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs. Keep accurate daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies. Contribute to the center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement. Essential Qualifications: Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families. A positive attitude and self-image, with a commitment to innovation and creativity. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with coworkers, parents, and children. 1-3 years of teaching experience or certification (if not, we will help you obtain certification). HS Diploma or GED required. Must pass the state-required criminal background check. Must meet all state certifications and requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a childcare or early childhood education setting. Knowledge of science-based, proprietary curriculum and educational philosophies. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.
