Experienced Center-Based Behavior Technician for Autism Support and Development – Utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy to Drive Positive Change in Children's Lives

We are now seeking a compassionate and skilled Center-Based Behavior Technician to join our dynamic team in Gresham, OR. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in helping children with autism develop critical skills, such as language and communication, social skills, and school readiness behaviors. Job Overview and Responsibilities In this rewarding role, you will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide 1:1 and group therapy sessions, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training. Your responsibilities will include: Providing direct client care and implementing individualized treatment plans to drive skill acquisition and behavior reduction Collecting, recording, and summarizing data on observable client behavior to inform treatment decisions Assisting with parent and caregiver training to ensure consistency and carryover of skills Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, following established procedures and protocols Communicating effectively with parents, caregivers, and BCBAs to ensure collaborative and comprehensive support Utilizing safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients, reporting critical incidents and safety concerns as needed Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment that promotes learning and growth Assisting BCBAs with preparation of client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition plans Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Reliable transportation, with proof of driver's license and valid car insurance (if applicable) To be at least 18 years of age Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, along with a TB test (if not already current) Physical ability to perform the job, including lifting up to 50lbs, standing, and moving quickly as needed Strong attention to detail, with ability to follow instructions and maintain emotional control in challenging situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to navigate digital applications and record data on a mobile device A positive attitude, patience, and drive to help children acquire new skills and reach their full potential Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not required, the following qualifications and experience are highly desirable: Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities, either as a Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices, with ability to apply them in a center-based setting Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Centria Healthcare, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
