Job Summary As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will be responsible for moderating our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions align with our community guidelines and rules. This part-time, remote position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with a talented team. Key Responsibilities Monitor and moderate the official Discord server, ensuring that all user interactions comply with our community rules and guidelines. Delete messages that violate server rules, and take further action as necessary, including muting or banning repeat offenders. Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, and take appropriate action based on findings. Maintain accurate records of moderation actions, and provide insights to help improve community engagement and content regulation strategies. Collaborate with the community team to develop and implement strategies for promoting a positive and inclusive online environment. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in community engagement, content regulation, and online safety. Essential Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Proficiency in Discord and its moderation tools. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in community engagement, content moderation, or customer service. Familiarity with online safety and content regulation best practices.
