Job Overview As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services, and handling their needs in a professional and courteous manner. Your duties will include working at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area, ensuring a seamless travel experience for our clients. Key Responsibilities Offer friendly support and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external clients Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization Provide excellent customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services, and handle their needs in a professional and courteous manner Handle all aspects of ticketing and check-in by operating an electronic retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues Greet and handle clients in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets Process transactions, make change, and balance daily transactions, being accountable for any overage or shortage Check in baggage and cargo, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and assist on an as-needed basis Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner Manage upset clients due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving issues quickly and within guidelines set by the organization Provide current and accurate admission, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from clients and other airport visitors Complete forms and reports as required by the organization Prepare irregularity and complaint reports as needed Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should be able to: Type or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job Understand reports, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing techniques, rules, and regulations Work cooperatively with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful conditions Complete the Customer Service Specialist training program with an 80% or greater average and a probationary period Be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle emergencies on an as-needed basis Work under close time limitations to achieve quick turns of aircraft Maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Work Agreement Perform all job functions within a limited space Communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively Have good written and oral skills Communicate information and instructions verbally or through radio equipment Preferred Qualifications While not required, having previous experience in customer service, particularly in the airline industry, would be an asset. Additionally, having knowledge of airline operations, ticketing systems, and baggage handling procedures would be beneficial.
