Role Overview and Responsibilities As a Customer Service Agent, you will play a critical role in promoting and selling air travel, assisting with passenger check-in and cargo acceptance, interpreting government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel, and meeting and dispatching aircraft within established times. Your duties will include: Promoting and selling air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders. Providing assistance with passenger check-in and cargo acceptance. Interpreting government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel or cargo shipments. Meeting and dispatching aircraft within established times. Providing assistance to distressed passengers and customers. Protecting company property and revenue. Providing for safe travel. Possessing the physical ability and dexterity to use motor skills to perform various job-related tasks. Using organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited time period. Being self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision. Responding and assisting during security and emergency situations. Following internal/external policies and procedures. Essential Qualifications for Success To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED or international equivalent. Bilingual language skills may be required in some locations. An applicable valid driver’s license as required by local authorities. To fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable. To be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable. Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements. To be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications for Enhanced Success While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your success in this role: Working knowledge of Sabre or any other Passenger Service System. Previous face-to-face customer service experience. Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
