Job Summary As a Customer Service and Sales Associate at blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering a world-class customer experience. You will be responsible for providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to our customers, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive shopping experience. You will also be expected to model and share customer service best practices with your colleagues, recommend products and services, and maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment. Key Responsibilities Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services. Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engages customers and patients by resolving issues, answering questions, and providing recommendations to ensure a positive customer experience. Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up and/or companion items to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction. Maintains a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including counters, shelves, and displays. Implements asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, and ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, and completes resets and revisions as directed. Assists with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance. Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products. Assumes web pick-up responsibilities, monitors orders, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Additionally, you will need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move around the store to perform various tasks. Preferred Qualifications While not required, preferred qualifications for this role include previous experience in customer service or retail, knowledge of store systems and equipment, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
