Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Advocate I to join our dynamic call center team. As a Customer Advocate I, you will play a critical role in responding to telephone and written inquiries from members and physicians in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, addressing the needs and concerns of our customers while working in a fast-paced call center environment. You will spend approximately 85% of your scheduled time on the phone, conducting research, and resolving customer inquiries. Key Responsibilities Respond to telephone and written inquiries from members and physicians in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner Conduct research to resolve customer inquiries and concerns Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions are professional, courteous, and respectful Utilize data entry and typing skills to accurately document customer interactions and maintain records Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of blithequark's products and services to effectively address customer inquiries Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and provide timely resolutions Meet productivity and quality standards, ensuring that all customer interactions are handled efficiently and effectively Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: High school diploma or GED 6 months of customer service experience or 6 months of experience in an office environment Data entry and/or typing experience Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to make independent decisions Ability to spend approximately 90% of scheduled time on the phone and sit for long periods with scheduled breaks Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and qualifications are preferred: 9 months of customer service experience Experience working with various lines of business, such as CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change Referral preference given to applicants who can take and meet testing criteria Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and procedures Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
