Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will be responsible for providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient service to our customers, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience. Key Responsibilities Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every interaction with blithequark is exceptional Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and blithequark service traits Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and trade-up and/or companion items Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records, checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader Implements blithequark asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, completing resets and revisions as directed Assists with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures, and provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products Assumes web pick-up responsibilities, monitors orders, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store Assists with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, and complies with all blithequark policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move around the store as needed Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail environment Knowledge of blithequark products and services, including photo and pharmacy services Ability to speak multiple languages, with the ability to communicate with customers who may have language barriers Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate a cash register and access blithequark systems Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Customer Focus : ability to provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and answering questions in a timely and professional manner Communication : excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide clear and concise information Teamwork : ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, providing support and assistance as needed Adaptability : ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Attention to Detail : ability to accurately handle cash, operate a cash register, and maintain records and inventory Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
