About the Role As a Pharmacy Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits, and ensuring seamless communication with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, addressing their queries, and ensuring their specialty medication needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and ensuring all necessary information is accurately captured. Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicate and collect copay amounts, and obtain authorizations as required. Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Demonstrate superb communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, ensuring the processing of specialty medications meets both financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment. Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of customer service expertise, technical skills, and a genuine passion for patient care. The following qualifications are essential for success: Essential Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a customer service role, with a proven track record of handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude. A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Preferably, you will have healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology, although this is not mandatory.
